There will be two collaborative learning sessions this year — one focused on college, and one focused on university.

In this first session, focused on college, the Education and Engagement team will explore key advocacy issues that the Care Experienced community can face in tertiary education. This session will help you to gain a better understanding of the barriers Care Experienced students encounter while studying at college, and inspire you on your journey as a supportive Corporate Parent.

We will utilise breakout rooms in this session to provide space for discussion, and allow you to collaborate with your fellow Corporate Parents.

The Education & Engagement Team are funded by Scottish Government to provide support and learning sessions to Corporate Parents. Therefore this event if free for anyone working for one of the 26 Corporate Parents named in legislation. If you do not work for a named Corporate Parent but work in a sector that is closely connected to caring for and supporting people with care experience, you are still more than welcome to attend this event. We just ask that you select the ‘non Corporate Parent organisation’ option to pay the small fee of £10 to help support the work that we do and to help us achieve our vision for: A lifetime of equality, respect and love for Care Experienced people.
