On the eve of #careday 2017 – a day which celebrates care experienced communities – Who Cares? Scotland welcomes the announcement from the First Minister.

Fiona Duncan, has been appointed as Chair of the Review by the First Minister and everyone at Who Cares? Scotland congratulates Fiona on behalf of all our members.  Fiona’s biography, her experience in the third sector and beyond and her own personal care experience brings a unique set of characteristics and capability to the Review.

We hope care experienced children, young people and communities – as well as carers, corporate parents and the third sector will welcome Fiona’s appointment.  All of Who Cares? Scotland and our members, look forward to working with Fiona and the Review Team to help realise the full ambitions of the review as announced by the First Minister.

It is fitting that on the eve of Care Day 2017, the First Minister announces the appointment of Fiona Duncan as the Chair of the Review.

I am more than confident that Fiona’s commitment to the care experienced collective – as well as her vast professional experience – will ensure the review is lead with both promise and challenge to deliver an appreciative review of how care experienced children and young people can experience a loving and stable care journey.
