Chris Law MP

In our new podcast “Objects”, Charlotte Armitage is diving deep into conversation with seven people – all with experience of care – about the objects that define some of the most important moments in their lives.

Episode 3 – Chris Law MP

Chris has been the Member of Parliament for Dundee West since 2015 and is the Scottish National Party’s Westminster Spokesperson for International Development. Prior to entering Parliament, he was a prominent Scottish independence campaigner, leading the Spirit of Scotland campaign and driving his Green Goddess fire engine to towns and cities across the country. Born in Edinburgh but raised in Fife, Chris spent time in care in his teenage years. After moving to Dundee as a teenager, he trained as a French Chef, before studying social anthropology at the University of St Andrews, where he developed a love for India. He would then spend the next ten years leading motorcycle tours of the Himalayas. Since first speaking publicly about his time in care in a debate in Parliament in 2018, Chris has met with several local and national campaigners to discuss care experience.
