Our Christmas Card

You can make a wish come true this Christmas.

The lead up to Christmas can be an especially daunting time for some Care Experienced people.

Every advert on TV, every song on the radio and every small talk conversation revolves around the upcoming Christmas Day.

For some Care Experienced people Christmas Day is a day spent alone.

Who Cares? Scotland sends every single Care Experienced member a Christmas card.  This card reminds them that they are not alone.  Although scattered across the country, each having a unique story and experience, that they are part of a community, a family and they are not forgotten. This small gesture is only possible with your generous support.

Some members have told us that this Christmas card will be the only one they receive.

Every day there is another bit of junk mail telling me about where I can buy ingredients for Christmas dinner, or what offers are coming up for the Boxing Day sales, but when that Christmas Cards comes in, I get a thrill.  I know that someone has remembered me, that they have made an effort to send me a bit of season’s greetings and it’s a nice feeling.

Your support makes this small gesture a reality.

In the haze of late night shopping, black Friday, cyber Monday, missed deliveries and difficult to wrap gifts, it’s easy to lose sight of those who don’t have the same relationships, family life and support networks.

It might only be a Christmas card, but it means the world to me.

A small donation of £15 will help us send a Christmas card, magazine and small gift to everyone of our Care Experienced members.

With thanks to Scottish Local Authorities, funding partners and donors who make our work possible.
