Care and Justice (Scotland) Bill – Response to Stage 1
This response provides comment on the Scottish Parliament’s Education, Children and Young People Committee’s call for views on the Care and Justice (Scotland) Bill at Stage 1.
Our members are able to shape policy and practice through a variety of consultation opportunities, including – work with external organisations, the Annual Participation Programme or when the Scottish Government requests evidence on a topic of interest to our community.
Every year we conduct a Membership Survey where we ask our members to evaluate their experiences of being a member – at a local and national level. This includes what they find enjoyable, meaningful, how well represented they feel and how they would like to see Who Cares? Scotland improve and develop.
Following this survey, a report is produced and shared and our teams across the organisation are given actions based on specific member feedback. We then share these results and our action plan so members can see the power of their voice within Who Cares? Scotland.
