Who Cares? Scotland has been funded by the Spirit of 2012, Robertson Trust, Sport Scotland and Scottish Government Changing Lives Through Sport and Physical Activity collaboration to deliver an exciting new community-based programme in Renfrewshire Council in partnership with Active Communities.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative new team member, with excellent communication skills and experience working with children and young people. The post holder will be responsible for creating opportunities for involvement and engagement for care experienced young people and communities within Renfrewshire to enable them to participate in sports and activities that promote healthy lifestyle and wellbeing.

You will use youth work, community engagement or learning and development skills to create new or develop existing opportunities. You should have an SVQ level 3 or HNC in a relevant discipline, and knowledge of issues affecting young people who are looked after away from home. You must be able to manage time and workload efficiently, and to effectively plan and evidence work. A driving license is advantageous, and you will likely work some evenings and weekends with possible overnight stays, given the remit of the role.

More importantly however you will be committed to helping us achieve our vision, ensure that care experienced young people can connect, develop and grow as individuals.

We particularly welcome applications from people with experience of the care system who meet the criteria for the post.

Closing date for applications is Friday 8th February 2019, at 12 noon.
Interviews will take place on Friday 22nd of February 2019.
