Volunteer Co-ordinator (Maternity Cover)
Paisley – 35 hours per week
£28,625 per annum
Who Cares? Scotland has been funded by the STV Appeals Project to deliver a community based programme in Renfrewshire Council. Working in partnership with the council and other partners the Volunteer Coordinator will continue to develop and coordinate the Who Cares? Scotland volunteering programme. The post holder will recruit, train and support volunteers in a variety of roles across the organisation, specifically focussing on the Renfrewshire area. Additionally, the Volunteer Coordinator will liaise with external organisations to promote Who Cares? Scotland’s volunteering opportunities via a wide range of communication methods.
Applicants will ideally have experience working with children and young people and be committed to working in partnership with them and empowering them to make decisions about their own lives. Knowledge and experience of community liaison and inter-agency working is essential. The successful applicant should be confident and able to lead a team to successfully deliver positive outcomes. Applicants should have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
The post is based in Paisley, but some flexibility will be required. A full driving licence and access to own transport is essential. Some evening and weekend work will be required as part of this role.
