Participation Assistant – Moray, Reaching Higher Trainee Programme

Reaching Higher Pre-employability Training Programme for Care Experienced Young People

Are you searching for an entry level position with the opportunity to develop and progress with the right support? Our Reaching Higher Trainee Programme can help you start the path to achieving your career goals.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you if you are:

  • Unemployed
  • Care experienced
  • Between 16 and 29 years old
  • Not currently on the DWP ‘Work Programme’

We are looking to recruit you on to our Reaching Higher 2-week Pre-employability training programme, which starts Sep 05th and runs until Fri Sep 15th 2017 (inclusive). Once you have successfully completed the 2-week programme you may have the opportunity to work as a Participation Assistant with Who Cares? Scotland.

The programme will initially consist of a 2-week employability programme where you will participate in a range of activities designed to develop your confidence, motivation and will help us decide who is ready to take up the exciting opportunity of progressing further, and those who need support accessing other more appropriate opportunities like further training or education.

We are holding an information session which will give you the chance to meet with staff from Who Cares? Scotland. This will give you more detail about the pre-employability training programme and the actual job opportunity on offer. You will be required to complete some initial paperwork to ensure that you are eligible for the programme and to assist us in gathering some further information about you. All individuals looking to take part in the pre-employment programme will need to complete an initial referral form. We can help you to identify who you know who may be suitable for this. Likewise, if you would like to bring someone along to the information session for support – please feel free to do so.

Info session:

If you cannot attend this information session but would like to find out more, please get in touch using the contact details below.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday Aug 29th at Who Cares? Scotland office (Spruce Room) at Elgin Sports and Community Centre.

We are looking for reliable and committed candidates who will fully participate in the programme, and in turn we will support you to succeed during your traineeship and identify longer term goals in work or education.

If you meet the above criteria you can email with your contact details, and we will get back to you to confirm receipt of your email and provide you with any further information.

If you wish to discuss any of the above in more detail, please contact Lesley Prendergast at the Who Cares? Scotland, Moray Office on 07841 032 885.
