Who Cares? Scotland is the driving force behind the current progressive transformative changes in Scotland’s care system. We are able to do this as we are Scotland’s only national independent, representative organisation for care experienced people.  We represent care experienced people through independent advocacy (up to 26 years of age); participation, membership and influencing work. Our vision is for care experienced people to feel equal to their non-care-experienced peers.   A crucial part of our representative role comes from the voices of our Membership as well as the experiences of those we support through advocacy and participation.

Our organisation is growing and we now require to add to our current Senior Management Team. This new post is a key position within Who Cares? Scotland. The post holder will contribute to the success of the organisation, ensuring that it continues to develop in its leading role as an effective advocacy, participation and campaigning organization for care experienced people in Scotland. They will oversee the strategic and operational development and ongoing management of advocacy and participation activities in the North and East of Scotland. They will work in close partnership with the Director of Operations covering the South and West of Scotland. This role will have a primary focus on developing our participation practice and how it is quality assured.

The successful candidate will have experience of working at Senior Management/Director Level and will be committed to ensuring care experienced people have their voice heard and can contribute to the future of care in Scotland.

The base location for this post is flexible, however regular attendance at our National Office in Glasgow is expected.
