Alumni of Care Experienced People Coordinator

35 hours per week

£28,625 per annum

The postholder will empower people with care experience to lead the way in showing that care experienced young people should be championed, supported to realise their potential and live a life full of success and one they are in control off. Since 2015, Who Cares? Scotland has developed a membership programme which encourages care experienced people of all ages to join our ‘family’. This membership allows people with a variety of care experiences and durations to connect with each other, as well as Who Cares? Scotland, which is the independent representative voice of care experienced people in Scotland.

The right candidate will need to be an effective coordinator of a range of alumni membership activities and cross team partnership working is vital to the success of this post. They should be a confident public speaker and communicator and committed to developing their skills in this area. The post holder will ideally use their own experience of care to help develop the Alumni of care experienced people. They will combine this experience with that of education and / or work to successfully lead, sustain, grow and maximise the undoubted potential of this part of the Who Cares? Scotland membership.
