£21,534 – £27,811 per annum
The postholder will work directly with care experienced children and young people, primarily in an individual advocacy role. This means listening to what they say and working with them to ensure their voice is heard regarding the decisions which are being made about their life.
You will also facilitate collective advocacy, which brings young people together in groups, to have their collective voice heard by corporate parents and others to create positive change. The postholder will work alongside another Advocacy and Participation Worker in Inverclyde to engage care experienced young people with Champions Board activity.
The right candidate will have a relevant qualification, to a minimum standard of HNC/SVQ 3 (SCQF level 7) in a discipline related to working with children & young people, or equivalent work experience. A current full driving licence is also essential.
