£21,534 to £27,811 per annum
Who Cares? Scotland is Scotland’s only national independent, representative organisation for care experienced people. We represent care experienced people through independent advocacy (up to 26 years of age); membership and influencing programmes. Our vision is for care experienced people to feel equal to their non-care-experienced peers. A crucial part of our representative role comes from the voices of our Membership as well as the experiences of those we support through advocacy.
The postholder will work directly with care experienced children and young people, primarily in an individual advocacy role. This means listening to what they say and working with them to ensure their voice is heard regarding the decisions which are being made about their life. You will also facilitate collective advocacy, which brings young people together in groups, to have their collective voice heard by corporate parents and others to create positive change.
The right candidate will have a relevant qualification, to a minimum standard of HNC/SVQ 3 (SCQF level 7) in a discipline related to working with children & young people, or equivalent work experience. A current full driving licence is also essential.
Closing date for applications: Monday 21 August at 12 noon
