What is it?

The Road to Love 500 is a brand new fundraising event for Who Cares? Scotland – combining an eco-friendly approach to driving Scotland’s most iconic route with a public statement about the need to secure a lifetime of love, for all Care Experienced people.

To take part in the challenge and make a public statement, teams will buy and decorate ‘old banger’ cars with a love theme and drive them along the North Coast 500.

The route begins in Inverness and snakes its way along the north coast of Scotland, taking in some of the country’s most spectacular scenery and iconic locations along the way. Travelling from west coast to east, the journey will take 2-3 days and finish back in Inverness. The old cars will then be retired to scrap – their final destination.

Why love?

Because Care Experienced people tell us this matters. They tell us that as children and young people growing up in the care system, that love was missing from their lives. We campaign for a lifetime of equality, respect and love for all Care Experienced people. That’s why this event is more than just a fundraising activity. It’s a public display of love for Care Experienced people.

When is it?

The Road to Love 500 will take place from September 6 – 8, 2019.
