Thank you for walking with love for love
On behalf of all Care Experienced people in Scotland, we want to say a massive ‘Thank You’ for taking part in the Glasgow and Aberdeen Kiltwalk 2018 for Who Cares? Scotland. We had an amazing 460 people walking with and for us in Glasgow and 25 in Aberdeen, which was really exciting. We hope you enjoyed the day and are already planning on walking with us in 2019.
Who Cares? Scotland’s CEO, Duncan Dunlop, was overwhelmed by the support on the day: ‘It was lovely to be part of a day where there were so many Who Cares? Scotland love hearts on display. As a small charity, it was especially nice for us to see that they were worn by so many people we didn’t know but who had learnt about us and cared for our Care Experienced Family members‘.
With your support, this heart-warming fundraising event has raised over £61,000 to help Who Cares? Scotland provide positive experiences for our Care Experienced Family members. Thanks to you and your generous sponsors, we will be able to offer our members a range of opportunities across Scotland including weekend residentials, regular local youth groups and national events such as our annual Summer Camp.
This is an amazing achievement far exceeding our expectations.
As our personal thank you, every walker will receive a Who Cares? Scotland Kiltwalk certificate that has been hand-signed by one of our Care Experienced Family Members.
Don’t forget to share your Kiltwalk achievement on social media! Take a picture with the certificate and tag Who Cares? Scotland with the #walkingwithloveforlove hashtag.
