SpeakOut Paid Writing Opportunity
1 June
Refugee Week takes place from the 19th to the 25th of June and this year’s theme is compassion.
As part of our celebrations, we are offering a paid writing opportunity for a Care Experienced refugee. You could be paid £70 to write a piece for our membership magazine, SpeakOut which is sent out quarterly to around 2500 Care Experienced young people and adults. The piece can either be 400-500 words for a 1-page entry or 800-1000 words for a double page. You can choose what you would like to write about. It could be a personal piece about your experiences, or if you enjoy creative writing you could submit a short story or a poem. It’s completely up to you.
If your piece is chosen, we will send you a copy of the magazine in the post and it will also be available to read online.
You don’t need to be a Who Cares? Scotland member to enter but we’d love for you to join up – find out more here.
