What is Care Day?

The third Friday of February is Care Day – the world’s biggest celebration of children and young people with care experience! 

How do we celebrate?

At Who Cares? Scotland our annual tradition is The Carelidh where we invite Care Experienced people and their supporters along for a night of music and ceilidh dancing. 

Charity Partners – Five Nations One Voice (5N1V)

Each year we team up with our charity partners across the UK and Ireland to celebrate Care Day. The partners are Become (England), Voices from Care Cymru (Wales), Voice of Young People in Care (Northern Ireland) and EPIC (Empowering People in Care) (Ireland).

What will the planning team do?

You’ll work with the planning team to make sure our activity is aligned with the other charity partners, as well as brainstorming creative ideas for our social media on Care Day to encourage corporate parents and the general public to participate in Care Day. And finally, we will plan the Carelidh. So if you are a social media wizz or have a vision for the Carelidh we’d love to hear from you
