HR & Workforce Development Support Officer

Salary £19,883 – £23,318 per annum, pro rata
Full-time 35 hours per week
6 months fixed-term contract

Who Cares? Scotland is Scotland’s only national independent membership organisation for Care Experienced people. Our mission is to secure a lifetime of equality, respect, and love for Care Experienced people in Scotland and we currently have over 3500 Care Experienced members.
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic HR & Workforce Development Support Officer to support the HR and Workforce Development Manager to provide a strategic human resource management and workforce development function, to support the achievement of our mission and objectives. The post holder will have a lead admin role in the areas of recruitment, selection & retention, performance management, absence management, policy writing, employee wellbeing and employee relations support. They will also support health and safety, change management and workforce development.
The post holder will be an adaptable, innovative, strategic thinker able to work on their own and with teams across the organisation. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, adaptable to a wide range of contexts, with a HR qualification, or equivalent experience working in a HR environment. You will be trustworthy, proactive, and keen to learn. You will also be committed to children’s rights, inclusive working, equal opportunities, and believe that young people can make transformative change happen in their lives if given the opportunity.
You will be joining Who Cares? Scotland at an exciting time, when the voices of those who are in or have experienced care are growing in power, individually and collectively – bringing with them insight, challenge, hope and change, and as we launch our new Strategic Plan 2023-2027.
