Christmas Consultants
1 September - 25 September
We are about to start planning our Care Family Christmas Dinner and we need your help to make the event as special as possible. We are looking to hire four Christmas Consultants this year to help with a number of key areas. These are paid positions for Care Experienced people aged 16+ who would like to gain some useful work experience and are passionate about delivering our best Christmas event yet!
Roles:
We have four positions this year, each with a slightly different focus to allow applicants to work to their strengths and interests. Being part of our group of Christmas Consultants will be a great asset to add to your CV and gain valuable experience working to put on an event.
Each consultant will work a maximum of 25 hours over the planning and festive period and will receive a fee of £300. We are also happy to provide those participating with a reference for future employers.

Fundraising Consultant
This role is for someone who would like to help our fundraising team with:
- Thinking about sources of funding and income and offering ideas
- Contacting businesses to ask for donations
- Assisting with the Christmas fundraising communications
This consultant will have:
- Good team working skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An interest in how our fundraising department works

Staging Consultant
This role is for someone with the creative talents to help turn our venue into a winter wonderland. You will:
- Come up with creative ideas for decorations and work with volunteers and members to make these on the run-up to Christmas
- Source materials needed for your creations
- Help dressing the venue the day before Christmas
This consultant will have:
- An interest in art or design
- The ability and confidence to show others how to make things
- Enthusiasm and problem-solving skills

Gifting Consultant
This role is for someone who loves choosing gifts for other people! You will help our Fundraising team to:
- Source gifts
- Choose appropriate gifts for members of all ages
- Assist in the wrapping and allocation of gifts
This consultant will have:
- The ability to consider the needs of others
- Excellent teamworking skills
- The ability to work on their own initiative

Activites Consultant
This role would suit someone who is interested in shaping the day and making the event extra special. You will:
- Help plan activities for the day
- Source any materials needed for your activities
- Lead on or support the delivery of activities on the day
This consultant will have:
- Organisation and planning skills
- The confidence to plan and lead activities on the day of the event
- Good communication and teamwork skills
How can I apply?
Applicants must:
- Be Care Experienced and aged 16+
- Have attended at least 2 previous Care Family Christmas Dinners
- Intend to attend the Christmas dinner on the 25th of December this year
- Be able to attend monthly planning meetings from September onwards

The deadline is the 15th of September. Once we have received your application, we may ask you to attend an informal interview over Zoom to select the best candidate. We hope to have selected our consultants by the 22nd of September.
