Would you love to study a specific course or learn a new skill, but find that a lack of financial resource is standing in the way? Or maybe you are currently in education and are facing barriers related to money?
In partnership with Ernst Maas, Who Cares? Scotland has a fund available to offer financial grants to Care Experienced individuals in Scotland of any age, who want to learn but face financial barriers. The funds can be put towards costs such as university, SVQs, training courses, or expenses that will ensure you are able to start, continue or complete your education. For example:
Hannah (22) struggling to afford childcare costs which could prevent her from completing her degree in Law.
Sam (33) wants to undertake a one-year counselling course but cannot afford the tuition fee.
Joe (17) is studying an Introduction to Construction course and needs help to cover his travel costs to and from the campus.
Amina (28) is a freelance designer and needs a specialist laptop to enable her to properly learn new design skills.
The fund is closed while we process applications. It may re-open depending on remaining funds.
With thanks to Scottish Local Authorities, funding partners and donors who make our work possible.
